Edward Ted Wright is a 4th generation well driller. Edward’s great grandfather, John, began drilling wells, in Mount Forest Ontario, in the early 1800s with a steam engine.
John and his son Dalton made their own wooden hand pumps. When John retired, Edward’s grandpa Dalton took over. Dalton used a gas and wooden drilling machine. Later, Dalton trained his son Dalt with a gas cable tool machine, often called a pounder.
Now, we drill with a diesel-powered rotary machine.
With over 100 years of combined experience, and 50 years himself, Edward Wright’s Well Drilling is able to offer customized, personalized well drilling service in a wide variety of environments.
